SUPPORTING OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

In 2023, MHR sponsored Rutland County show for the second year in a row. Anton Roe, MHR's CEO, said:

Charity in our Community

We want our people and community to feel heard and happy. This means social needs, enhancing our areas environment, and providing economic opportunity.

At MHR, we love to get involved in impactful charitable initiatives. We sponsored Andrew Osborne as he rowed across the Atlantic in 78 days in 2023. His heroic effort for Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY) also saw MHR challenge colleagues to row the distance alongside him. Partnered with CRY, MHR sponsored heart screening for 200 children.

MHR proudly work with Nottingham-Based charity, Improving Lives. Together, we hold workshops to empower adults experiencing multiple disadvantages by developing their digital literacy. MHR supports other causes such as the Trussell Trust and Gem’s Mission Christmas by donating food and gifts to combat hunger and poverty in our community.

We also host regular internal awareness events from different charities such as Coppafeel and Oddballs. In September 2023, one of MHR's own, Jaime Foster, embarked on a trek around Mont Blanc for Coppafeel. As an ambassador for Coppafeel Jaime hosted a very informative 'boobette' talk here at MHR for the second year in a row.

Supporting Further Charitable Initiatives

MHR's employees are passionate about supporting their community and doing their bit for charity. This year, our teams have participated in a Breacon Beacons hike for Bowel Cancer, a Mont Blanc trek for CoppaFeel and have also volunteered their time to CRY to facilitate MHR's on-site event to provide free ECG scans to over 200 Young People.

MHR employees participated in the yearly Dragon Boat Festival in Nottingham to raise money for Nottinghamshire hospice. It was a great opportunity to both bond as a team and raise money for a great cause.

Each year, our Graduate cohort dedicate their time to volunteer with the esteemed charity “Seas Your Future” to mentor young people, imparting essential life skills and giving them an unforgettable adventure.

Despite being a global business, having an East Midlands Head Office means we believe in local talent , whether that be attending local careers fairs at universities, sourcing apprenticeships or offering industry years in our dedicated Academy. Recently, we attended Loughborough University's Creative Arts Degree end of course show, which resulted in hiring UX graduates to MHR.
